Council for Immediate Change in Gabon

The Council for Immediate Change in Gabon (CICG) is the U.S. Branch of the Bongo Doit Partir (Bongo Must Go) Movement.

We represent a group of Gabonese expatriates living in the United States who are currently under the leadership of Dr. Daniel Mengara, a professor of French and Francophone Literatures also teaching Political Science at Montclair State University in New Jersey. Dr. Daniel Mengara has been actively engaged in the cause of helping Gabon become a truly democratic nation since 1998, when he created the Bongo Doit Partir Movement (BDP) and, by the same token, inaugurated the era of Cyber-Activism worldwide.

Dr. Mengara leads Gabonese activists here in America, Europe and Gabon who are all working towards the end of putting an end to the 52-year-old regime of the Bongo Family in Gabon.

The American Branch is currently led by:

Dr. Daniel Mengara
President

Mr. Henri Omva
Vice President
